time you enjoy wasting, was not wasted - john lennon

my votes for triple J's hottest 100
no order, and i don't know how i could make a top ten, i 've forgotten many and at one stage i was pondering whether to just not vote because i was betraying some of my all time favourites!

  1. hallelujah- jeff buckley

this song could even reduce the strongest, hardest men to tears

2. yellow- coldplay

my favourite song of all time, pure magic.

3. open your eyes- snow patrol

my first concert and i was sure it was to be the best night of my life, until i saw coldplay, kings of leon and maroon 5 and then i decided there would be many best nights of my life.

4. dakota- stereophonics

theres just something about this song that makes me feel so alive and happy.

5. viva la vida- coldplay

what can i say, they're my favourite band :) and they're amazing. the woahs in this song are so catchy and hypnotising, you just can't help singing along.

6. when you were young- the killers

i love you brandon flowers.

7. on call- kings of leon

i'd heard their earlier stuff, but this song really got me listening.

8. the scientist- coldplay

one of the best, in my opinion songs ever about heart ache.

9. naive- the kooks

can't help but sing it aloud and at certain people...

10. sex on fire- kings of leon

perhaps their best song ever, incredible..

and if i could have an eleven it would be..

11. sounds of silence- simon and garfunkel.

because there song just speaks to me of hard times and how to push through.

special mentions to peter, bjorn and john - young folks, the verve- bittersweet symphony, bon iver- blood bank and boston- more than a feeling that just missed the cut.
